noch macht der Schlitten
eine Rostspur
den Hang hinauf
still a trace of rust
scribbled by the toboggan
up the slope
seh dich doch noch
clematis blossom
der Arzt lag falsch
seeing you after all
clematis blossom
the doctor was wrong
Nadelstreifen
und mit Absicht durch die Pfütze
Frühling ist da
in a pinstripe suit
and on purpose through the puddle
spring is here
ein Sommerregentropfen
und die Rosenblüte tanzt
a summer rain drop
and the rosebud dances

zwei Igelstacheln
kleben noch
am rechten Vorderrad
two hedgehog prickles
still stuck to
my right front wheel
die Motte an der Wand
kennt nun
meine ganze Geschichte
story of my life -
the moth on the wall
now knows it all
Zeitungsseite
mit den Todesanzeigen
in Schnipsel zerissen
newspaper page
with the obituaries
ripped in shreds
keine Chance Aster
nach dem Nebel
kommt der Frost
no chance aster
after the fog
comes the frost
zuerst
die weißen Rosen
in der Herbstmorgendämmerung
first of all
the white roses
in the autumn dawn
sogar um den Mond
kämpfen sie
in Ramallah
even about the moon
there is fighting
in Ramallah
