Born in Saitama, Japan in 1935. He graduated from Aoyama Gakuin University. Currently the chief-editor of haiku monthly magazine Jiku. He won Jiku Haiku Award in 1997. He attended to international haiku conferences that were held in Japan as well as Bulgaria. He is the director of Kasukabe Haiku Federation and Modern Haiku Association of Saitama Prefecture, the member of the World Haiku Association. Co-authored Jiku Haiku Anthology (1977) and A Study of Gaifu Kawai's Haiku (1987). His haiku included in World Haiku 2005 No.1 (Nishidashoten, 2004), World Haiku 2006 No.2 (Shichigatsudo, 2005), World Haiku 2007 No.3 (Shichigatsudo, 2007), World Haiku 2008 No.4 (Shichigatsudo, 2008) & World Haiku 2009 No.5 (Shichigatsudo, 2009).
