Ivan Pahernik no e-mail Croatian no personal web site Croatia Ivan Pahernik, charicaturist, writer and poet, was born on July 6, 1938 in Zagreb. In 1995 he published a haiku collection A COLLECTED YEAR'S SEASONS which he illustrated, as well. In the years 1964, 1975 and 1979 he published a collection of charicatures. His charicatures have been published in numerous satirical magazines, and he has received several prizes and awards in Croatia and abroad.. In the year 2002 he published JOS HRVATSKA NI PROPALA, an illustarted autobiografical book. This book has been made into movie about life in Zagreb between and during the two wars. In his work Ivan Pahernik wishes to protect our planet which we are using and destroying for our nonsenseless needs, he fights against plastic by which we pollute the Earth, his work tells us he was born with the feeling for honesty, fairness and equity.
