STOJANOVIC-NIKOLASEVIC, RUSKA

Born in 1936 in Djakovo, lived in Osijek and since 2006 has lives in Rijeka as a retired clerk. Ruska is a member of the Croatian Writer's Association, Zagreb, the child and juvenile branch. She has published four novels for children and the young and two books of stories and fables. Her stories can be heard on Radio Zagreb and read in children's journals in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina..

She has been writing Haiku and Waka since 1995, publishes in Croatian haiku magazines Vrabac/Sparrow, Haiku and Iris and joint collections with regard to the haiku meetings where she takes part over the years. In 1997. she published a haiku collection Brazde (The Furrows). She is a member of Croatian Haiku Society, Samobor and Association of Croatian Haiku Poets, Zagreb. For her haiku Ruska has received several awards and commendations in Croatia and Japan.
