Vjera Majstovic was born in Djakovo, Croatia 1929. From early childhood she lived in Krizevci where she graduated from High School and became a teacher. She worked in Bosnia and Herzegovina and in 1952 moves to Zagreb. She Graduated at the University of Zagreb, Pedagogical Academy in Zagreb. Mrs Majstrovic started to write haiku after pensioning and she takes part in haiku meetings in Croatia: Samobor, Ludbreg, Krapina, Ivanic Klostar and Zagreb. She published billingual haiku collection in Croatian and English Rainbow in a dewdrop, Samobor, 1999.
