OREC, ZDENKO no e-mail address Croatian no personal web site Croatia Zdenko Orec was born in 1930 in Zvecevo, Croatia. He is retired teacher and lives in Ludbreg. He published several books of aphorisms, poetry and haiku; was the columnist in daily newspaper Vjesnik.. For his haiku he received several International Prizes and Commendments in Japan - among them is the ITOEN haiku contest in year 1997. He is the founder of the Ludbreg Haiku Meetings (since 1997).
